Terma

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to visit the division of Terma in Lystrup and tour their space facilities. We were first given an introductory presentation of Terma and the work that they do, focusing on their work in the space sector. We then did a short presentation of our project to the leader of the space division. Afterwards, we toured the space facilities. Among other things, we saw a series of different generations of power distribution units that the Terma space center is known for. We also saw the work space were equipement (for instance parts for the join stick fighter project) are produced and tested. There was ITAR regulated equipment (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), due to Terma's role in the defense industry. We were very lucky to be able to take a group foto in the clean room, where welding is done. We also saw their vacuum chamber and vibration test facility for testing both radars and space equipement, which is the second largest in Denmark.
